Client Accomplishment: Pride Mobility Products Corporation.

Multinational Manufacturer eludes inadequate IT system.

A completely redesigned hardware infrastructure helps Pride Mobility Products Corporation eliminate down time, increase productivity and prepare to meet the needs of the future.

History:

Founded in 1986, Pride Mobility Products Corporation is the world's leading manufacturer of electric Scooters and Lift Chairs and is an emerging leader in Power Chairs with its line of Jazzy Power Chairs. Pride Mobility Products Corporation designs and manufactures its product lines in facilities located in Exeter, Pennsylvania and has subsidiaries in the United Kingdom, Europe and Canada.

Business Need:

Pride Mobility Products Corporation had critical business needs that were multi-layered in terms of depth. Pride Mobility Products needed to centralize it's data and store large amounts of historical sales, profitability and competitive information on line. In addition to migrating to a centralized data processing environment, Pride Mobility Products was also faced with an inadequate enterprise server running NT. Pride Mobility Products was looking for a solution that would enable the processing of large data sets, in less time, at a lower cost and with greater flexibility to achieve higher-quality results per dollar invested in data processing. In addition, Pride Mobility Products wanted a platform that would remain widely available and well-supported over the long term and would provide a long-term technology growth path to meet their own business expansion plans.

Pirolli, Principal Consultant, ASK Technologies, Inc. "This new architecture will allow Pride Mobility Products Corporation to make the transition to high performance symmetrical computing, enabling them to provide comprehensive information to their customers and vendors which is key to maintaining their current and future growth plans", says Pirolli.

ASK blue printed a comprehensive technology infrastructure around Hewlett Packard's high-performance hardware platforms, high availability features, and mission critical support capabilities.
