In 1926, Luccio Musco began Musco Food Corporation by selling imported cheeses and tomatoes to Italian food shops in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. After ready acceptance and sustained success, Luccio turned the company over to his son Philip. After reviewing numerous internal processes, Musco Food Corp., recognized its need to update its order entry process for its expanded product line and regional market. The existing order entry process was time consuming and outdated, involving a burdensome paper trail prone to error and delay.
Musco Food Corp., needed to find a more agile solution with the capacity to handle numerous orders quickly and accurately. They also wanted a system that would enhance their image as a seasoned professional organization.

SCO provided ASK with an innovative solution to Musco Food Corp's order management challenge in the form its latest offering, Me Inc. Me Inc. is an advanced networking platform that provides featurerich business digital services for smart phones and other intelligent mobile devices.
ASK implemented the Me Inc. digital order management services and was able to customize a solution for Musco Food Corp.
Musco Food Corp. was able to quickly upload their catalogue of thousands of food items and make them accessible to their outside sales force via a handheld device, in this case a Treo 650 phone. With this service, a sales rep can be instantly notified of pricing changes, daily specials, and new food items.
In addition, the Me Inc. services greatly simplified the order entry process and helped Musco Food Corp. expedite orders quickly and accurately using the Treo's wireless technology.
Musco has now outfitted their sales force with 15 Treo phone devices that utilize the remote order-entry system. ASK's implementation has dramatically facilitated the Musco order entry process.
Musco Food Corp. can now offer customers next day delivery, where before, it took an average of two days to process and ship the order.
